The upside of this being a new site trying to attract readers is that not too many people yet know how bad I am at this prediction thing. Better lean on being snarky about the teams I hate.

With that said. Here are some crap predictions.

Game 1

Burnley vs Arsenal

Prediction: Arsenal 1-0

Reality: Arsenal 2-0

In the one game I was close to reality. Arsenal scored their first away goal from the run of play. Great job Gunners. You’re the games I put on when I need a nap. Enjoy your title.

Game 2

Spurs v Chelsea

Prediction: 3-2 Spurs

Reality: Chelsea 1-0

Solid win. Would like to see a few more goals from these guys.

Game 3

Man City v Bournemouth

Prediction: 2-1 Bournemouth

Reality: City 3-1

Probably the only team with a snowballs chance of reeling in Arsenal. Showed their championship pedigree taking care of business against an upstart squad.

Game 4

Liverpool v Villa

Prediction: 3-1 Villa

Reality: 2-0 Liverpool

Speaking of pedigree. Might be too little too late and the first goal was a ridiculous turnover but maybe Liverpool can turn this around to join the peloton chasing the leader.

Onto Match Day 11!

Match 1

Sunderland vs Arsenal

Remember when I said the table leaders were boring? I’m going to say it again. Boring. Ruthlessly efficiently boring. They’ll dominate possession, nick a goal or two from a set piece and maybe give up a shot this game.

I will say Saka seemingly being unable to finish all of sudden would have me worried

Now I’m no tactician. But with how dominant the Gunners corners are it’s time to try some new ideas. They thrive on chaos keeping the goalie pinned on the line while Gabriel can run to either post. Please someone try taking your 4 shortest players and park them at the midfield line. Dare Arsenal to send numbers forward. Maybe you can get them to drop players which leaves less chaos in the box. It’s time to try shit people.

Arsenal 2-0

Match 2

West Ham vs Burnley

West Ham seem to have discovered a pulse which is good news for a team squarely in the thick of the relegation battle. They get a fellow basement dweller in this week. Goes without saying that this is a game they really want to win.

Burnley should find the sledding less tough this week. They seem like the good bad team this year. Taking care of business against minnows but never really scaring the big fish.

I think Burnley does their thing and gets the Hammers faithful that much more antsy.

Burnley 1-0

Match 3

Chelsea vs Wolves

I just discussed the good bad team, well let me introduce the bad good team. Hi there Chelsea!

Full facts, I’m a fan of the Blues. So it brings me no pleasure to say this team stinks, looks as though they should, but they don’t. It’s infuriating. Games like this should be looked forward to get right and put up some stats. But Chelsea almost blew a 3-0 lead to these guys 10 days ago and just drew against a team that sounds like it’s from Middle Earth. I hate them, because I like them so much.

Anyway. Wolves suck. Enjoy the championship guys.

Chelsea 4-1

Match 4

Man City vs Liverpool

Two title contenders getting their groove back have to face off against each other. Tough break for them, delightful for Arsenal.

This game will come down to the team that is less afraid to lose. And I think that’s the home squad. Salah got his 250th on a gift but has looked half a step slow all season. If Doku plays I think he’ll be a menace and there is always the big Norwegian to contend with.

I think Liverpool will play this not to lose and would be happy with 0-0. But they won’t get it.

Man City 2-0

And just for fun or if you want to fade my shitty picks, here are the rest of the games, scores only (maybe a quip or two):

Spurs - 3
United - 1

Everton - 1
Fulham - 2

Villa - 1
Cherries - 2

Brentford - 1
Newcastle - 1

Palace - 2
Brighton - 1

Forest - 1
Leeds - 0

Enjoy the weekend!
